The Fort

Spent yesterday afternoon shooting in a cell at this old prison in the heart of Johannesburg.  A little prison with a very big history. Many of South Africa’s political activists, including Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Walter Sisulu were detained here. Once just known as The Old Fort and a regular spot for raves and parties, its has now gotten some much deserved funding and is being renovated.
