Going underground

I think I might be in semi hibernation mode, we've had some chilly weather and all I want to do is drink red wine and wear jerseys. So when I saw this cellar on Steven Gambrel's site I had to share. Its the mood I'm in. The sunken semi circular cellar, (whoohoo alliteration) is insane, and I love the brick floor and that metal clad fireplace. I think its the perfect place for a roaring dinner party for twelve of your closest.

Take it to the basement

After losing all my stored images from my last computer, finding these favorites again was so exciting. I've never forgotten decorator Steven Gambrel's spectacular West Village basement kitchen. I think if one tried to replicate it above ground or with more windows it just would not be the same.
