That lightning never strikes the same place twice. Well its a lie! For the second time in six weeks I've been without internet because out modem got fryed by lightning. We love highveld storms but not the lightning that comes with them. Anyway here I am back in blog land with the small things. These two Jaco Benade black and white oil paintings that my mom bought, the last of my favourite matches that I used on my sons birthday cake, original price tags that I found on some napkins and the little clay cow that all made my day.

How's Neville doing?
If you're not following Neville Trickett's quest to be a better artist on his blog Saint Verde, then you are missing out! He allows himself 15 minutes per 20 by 30 cm painting. And I'm loving it!

Sigh Twombly
I know I'll never have 1.2 million odd dollars just hanging around to afford one of his paintings, but I can love them from afar. These are images of Twombly in his home in Rome taken by Horst P. Horst in 1966 for Vogue. How magnificent are those tiled floors?
